Black Fleece Arrives in Pac Heights

Ah, the majesty of New England.

Home base for storied prep schools, wood-paneled station wagons and people who lovingly use the word summer as a verb.

While it's safe to say you probably won't be decamping for Connecticut anytime soon, come summer, there will be moments—precious warm, breezy moments—when a bit of tailored seersucker will be exactly what you're looking for.

And in those moments, you will have Black Fleece, a new Pac Heights home for the Thom Browne-designed Brooks Brothers collection, which has just arrived on Fillmore Street as your new outfitter for rakish, upscale American threads.

You may be familiar with Thom Browne's vintage-luxe take on East Coast Americana—trim, modern versions of old-school suits, button-downs, shorts and polos. But with the arrival of the standalone store (only the second one in the world), you'll be free to bask in the glory of all that is plaid, madras and seersucker (free yacht with every purchase).

The store is chock-full of everything you'll need to saunter, sail, merge, acquire, three-martini-lunch, four-Bloody-Mary-brunch or otherwise just spend some quality time in the Marina—plaid button-downs, seersucker suits, saddle shoes and plenty of striped ties (a requirement for merging or acquiring).

And the store itself looks like the kind of place you'd want to host a martini-stirring competition (or at least a poker game)—we're talking gray pinstriped walls, flannel chairs and striped drapes made of the same material as the tie Jennifer Aniston made famous when it graced her nude body on the cover of GQ.

Lucky tie.
