Anthony Bourdain was a TV host, talented author and tireless traveler who showed us parts of the world that might have otherwise gone unseen.

Now, nearly three years since his untimely passing, we're getting another book that looks at the world through his unique lens. And it comes at a time when many of us can only travel vicariously through others. 

"World Travel: An Irreverent Guide" is available for pre-order now and will start shipping on April 20. The 480-page hardcover tome is a collaboration between Bourdain and his longtime friend and assistant Laurie Woolever, who also co-authored his cookbook, "Appetites." The pair were working on it together before Bourdain's death.

Supplementing Bourdain’s words are a handful of essays by friends, colleagues and family. You'll find a sardonic account of traveling with Bourdain by his brother, Chris. There's a guide to Chicago’s best cheap eats by legendary music producer Steve Albini. And each chapter includes illustrations by artist Wesley Allsbrook, plus the cover, which features Bourdain eating street food in Vietnam.
