The Chandelier Steps Out With a Whole New 'Do

Based on little factual evidence, we suspect the statement "swinging from the chandeliers" may have been born in the middle of Chandelier bar.

But it could be the Sichuan peppercorn flower in our margaritas affecting our thinking.

Or it could be that things just feel suspiciously more lively here, now that the Chandelier has been given an entirely new look, more polished, airy and elegant than ever, with an Alice in Wonderland-inspired influence and new drinks.

What else could explain the eight-foot origami napkin sculpture of the March Hare in the new common area? And the Cheshire cat print slashed all across the ceiling? Also while winding around its three floors, you'll find tufted sofas and modern chairs where the banquettes were. For eating your Eggslut in greater comfort.

Overall, it looks less like a place Paris Hilton would hold her birthday party in 2005 and more like a roost your friends will actually want to occupy when you tell them it has some of the Strip's most creative cocktails.

And you'll find new drinks, too, like the Strange BedFellows with Japanese whiskey, Ruby red port, fig preserves and spiced honey. But to be clear, the Verbena is still there, having been ordered 100,000 times last year. And the addictive Sichuan peppercorn margarita can still be found. If you know who to ask.

We suspect the bartender may know something.

On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
