The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach hotel is going to open on October 10. And when it does, you damn well better be ready.

There will be a stunning lobby bar. There will be a grill and another bar on the sky deck. There will be a pizza place. A pool. An ocean. Everything. Take a look.

But instead of mincing even more words, let's get right into the breakdown...

It's got more than a few rooms-with-a-view.
Maybe it's the round windows or the shape of its tower. Or maybe it's the oceanfront location that makes this place feel like a docked ship ready to take you away. Each suite has a balcony, so that probably helps.

There's plenty to check out while you're checking in.
Overhead in the lobby, a chandelier of small crystals resembling ocean bubbles hangs, continuing the nautical theme. Blue art resembles the water, while neutrals mimic the dunes and sand. Touches of marble, wood and leather give the space a modern feel. And the attached library's stocked shelves bring an Old World vibe. Basically, good lobby.

You'll drink things here.
Just off the lobby sits Atlas, the lobby bar, where you'll find fancy cocktails with fresh fruit juices and vodka. Relax on one of the stools, sip and gaze at the blue glass map backdrop. Grab some charred octopus or duck confit tostadas while sinking deeper into conversation with your date. Another round of vodka drinks couldn't hurt either.

Pizza, pastry, repeat.
When morning cravings for pastries from Zak the Baker set in, head to Cornucopia on the first floor. The feel may be rustic with its brown metal and wood tables, but the menu is something more. Have a bacon and cheddar frittata and feel free to come back for lunch for the wood-fired pizza.

More eating. More drinking. Ocean views.
Next stop, sixth floor, where you're invited to sip or swim. The Sky Deck is home to the pool, jacuzzi, sweeping views of the Atlantic and Spinnaker Pool Grill. Mediterranean plates like kebobs fit in perfectly after laps and right before lounging poolside. And as the sun sets, return to the canopied bar for cocktails mimicking the sky's hues.

And, ah yes, the beach.
While there's no food or drink service on the beach, before commissioning a lounge chair and watching the waves roll in, stop into Cornucopia, order a picnic basket of curried cauliflower with pickled raisins and a parfait with granola and chocolate, and officially call it a day at the beach.

Oh, it's got beds, too.

On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
