A reluctant hero armed only with a pair of chopsticks and a folding fan is sent on a quest to save a never-ending sake jug that has been stolen by a tattooed ninja and smoke monster.

Oh, that?

That’s just the menu at Noyane. Wait until you see the rest of what Conrad Hotel’s new seasonal rooftop bar has in store for you when it opens on Monday. In the meantime, here’s the slideshow.

That menu, yes. We need to talk about that menu. It’s covered in deliciousness like A5 Wagyu sashimi and BBQ octopus. It holds the key to the chef’s omakase. But, more importantly, it looks like a comic book starring our hero, Konrad.

Our stage is set under strings of lights. You don’t need to wield a samurai sword to take a seat at the rectangular bar or in front of the fireplace-adjacent lounge. You might need some Japanese whiskey, though.

Read on to see if his mission is successful, or just to find your own bottle of 10-year sochu. Hint: It’s below the sake list. Sake makes its way into the cocktails, too, most notably in the form of sake sangria. There’s also a green tea-infused gin Collins and a schnapps-spiked Saporro drink served in a takeout box.

At this point you had to know there’d be a cocktail served in a takeout box.
