Head down to the Southeast waterfront. Look one way, toward Nats Park. You might sense dread.
Look the other way, toward Bluejacket Brewery. It’s boom times.
Because now they’ve added this...
The Bluejacket Bottle Shop & Tasting Room, a cozy little spot mostly for grab-and-go suds adjacent to the brewery. They cut the ribbon tomorrow at 11am.
Maybe you used to come here for cookies when this was Buzz Bakery. But now the brewery has annexed it, so you’ll come here for bottles of vintage and rare Bluejacket beers (they’ll open with 23 choices).
So when you finally get out of town this month, you can arrive at your cabin/beach house/villa and say things like, “Here’s a blueberry-lilac sour. And a Mexican Radio sweet stout aged in whiskey barrels.” Then hear everyone else say, “I’m glad we invited this person.”
Amid the industrial artifacts, brewery swag and barrels in the aging room looming over your head (all of which you can see here), you’ll also find a couple high-top tables. That’s where you can hang with their six drafts and some cheese and charcuterie. If you’d just like a quick, to-the-point brewery experience.
Or a slow, not-at-all-to-the-point brewery experience.
