WHAT’S YURTS IS MINE

The Only Yurt in the VA Park System

You require: One-of-a-kind accommodations.
You’ll receive: This wood-framed yurt on Virginia’s Eastern Shore—the only one in the state park system. Just alternate between taking in views of the Chesapeake from the yurt’s private deck and cooking in the open fire pit. It sleeps six—or two who just really like to stretch out.

A Weekend of Tennis with Sampras

You require: Tennis lessons from the best.
You’ll receive: Tennis lessons... from a 14-time Grand Slam winner. The Greenbrier just named Pete Sampras its tennis pro emeritus, which means next month, he’s leading three days of clinics, demos and doubles tourneys. Hopefully you can pick your partner.

ANGLING FOR DINNER

You Catch. They Cook. You Eat.

You require: Some hunting and fishing. But no cleaning.
You’ll receive: The “you catch it, they’ll cook it” program at the Glendorn lodge in Pennsylvania. They’ll guide you on a fly-fishing trip or turkey-hunting trip, then you hand your quarry off to the chef, who’ll turn it into dinner. A silver platter may be involved.

THE BIRDS

A Morning of Falconry Lessons

You require: To spend the day as Prince William might.
You’ll receive: A crash course on birds of prey at the Homestead. They’ll lead you onto the resort grounds, throw a glove on your arm and let you play with trained falcons, hawks and owls. The local field mice have been warned.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE BEIGNETS

Freshly Fried Pastries. In Bed.

You require: Special deliveries... of pastries.
You’ll receive: Beignet butler service to your door every morning. At the Inn at Willow Grove outside of Charlottesville, you’ll stay in a plantation-style mansion, do some vineyard-hopping, then wake up to coffee and beignet service. It’s like they know you’ve gone vineyard-hopping.
