Just a Giant Trampoline Park

We’ve found something to tide you over until spring.

Why, yes, it’s a trampoline. Dozens of them, in fact.

So without further delay, say hi to Flight Trampoline Park, by far the closest bounce-plex to the city, opening Tuesday.

We’re pretty sure when House of Pain cut their hit single, this is what they had in mind: 14,000 square feet of trampolines in a former warehouse decorated by NYC graffiti artists.

Step one: get yourself down to Springfield, VA. Step two: just start jumping. Start in their “jump field” of 50 interconnected trampolines. Jump off a ledge and do some backflips in the stunt area. Maybe try to hit the punching bags suspended from the ceiling.

When it’s time for something more structured, grab a ball and dunk on the two basketball hoops. Do a trampoline boot camp class. Or join in a pickup dodgeball game on one of the two enclosed trampoline courts, complete with refs (those dodgeball rules disputes can get ugly).

On weekend nights, they’ll turn down the lights and DJ some music to a laser light show. And if you really can’t get enough, you can rent the whole place out overnight for some nocturnal bouncing.

Two words: trampoline toga.
