Things to do for March 28, 2018

Aventura Mall's Got a Shake Shack and O Cinema's Got a Wes Anderson

Easter Brunch: Also Present and Accounted For

By Ginger Harris

Wednesday
Shake Shack Takes Aventura Mall
LOVE SHACK

Shake Shack Takes Aventura Mall

Yes, there's a Shake Shack in Aventura Mall now, so the next time you're craving some outstanding burgery, you can hit Treats Food Hall and partake of Shack Stacks and crinkle fries and frozen custards. Feel free to order those things on the app ahead of time, too. Though "New Shake Shack" probably would've sufficed.

Now open, Shake Shack, 19565 Biscayne Blvd, Aventura, 786-204-3807

Thursday
Ben Folds, Meet Nu Deco. Nu Deco, Ben Folds.
BEN AND NOW

Ben Folds, Meet Nu Deco. Nu Deco, Ben Folds.

The Nu Deco Ensemble by itself is pretty cool. The Nu Deco Ensemble with Ben Folds is pretty damn special. And probably something you won't want to miss if you want an above average date night that mashes up ensembles and indie rock stars live and in person at the Arsht.

Friday
Calling All Wes Anderson Fans/Everyone Else
WES WE CAN

Calling All Wes Anderson Fans/Everyone Else

If you're into all things Wes Anderson, check out his retrospective at O Cinema. It'll start with a kick-off party in the courtyard with quirky, film-inspired tunes, sweet things from Nummies and the Good Pie and semi-aristocratic misfit costumes. Then they'll screen his films all week since that's more or less the point.

Saturday
Vinyl on Vinyl on Vinyl
SPIN CYCLE

Vinyl on Vinyl on Vinyl

If 28 tables covered in records sound appealing, then consider the Miami Record Fair at Gramps the mother of all... appealing things. If it doesn't, then hopefully the Old Fashioneds and the ability to sign-up to DJ the party yourself will help push you in the right direction.

Sunday
Easter Brunch at Point Royal. That Works.
EASTER EGGS BENEDICT

Easter Brunch at Point Royal. That Works.

You didn't forget about Easter brunch, did you? Nah, probably not. Because you're reading right now that Point Royal will be hosting a rather miraculous one with peppercorn prime ribeye, roasted lamb leg and bottomless mimosas and champagne. Or maybe you just remembered on your own.

What Else Is New

On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
