Coachella's next month.

With Stagecoach fast on its heels.

And while it may seem practical now to buy that place in the desert, it'd be considerably less hot to just stay in this poolside suite built into an Airstream trailer.

At Hotel Paseo, a lively new place to get sun, drink cocktails and throw objects at other objects on lawns with your friends, now open in Palm Desert. Slideshow time.

Remember how it just suddenly became winter in LA? Right during wintertime? That was weird. And a clear sign that you should drive east for the weekend to this newly constructed, mid-century modern, 150-room hotel that looks just like a Coachella Valley hotel should. All so you can...

Stay in a 1950 Airstream: One of the nine suites here. 25-feet of pool-adjacent, lovingly restored aluminum awaiting you and a date. If it's you and friends, you'll want the Billiards Suite, which comes with a pool table, wet bar and curated vinyl for a Shinola record player.

Eat at AC3: A venture from three legendary local restaurateurs where you'll get smoked cheddar burgers and schnitzel with local drafts and Crystal Clear cocktails (tequila, Fresno chili, cilantro, lime and agave). You couldn't—nay, wouldn't—do this without schnitzel.

Appreciate fine art: AKA taking Instagram photos of your people hanging around the lobby beside its wall of vintage roller skates and a lone, bikini'd mannequin diving into a canvas.

Cavort half-naked in public: By which we mean there's a big pool with private cabanas. And a backyard lawn with gratis yoga and tai chi, along with lawn games, cornhole and a music stage.

You can totally refer to it as the main stage.
