Getting smashed.

It's one of the more popular pastimes in this town.

And it's about to take on a whole new meaning.

At Wreck Room, one of those places that lets you legally destroy a bunch of stuff rather than have you stifle your emotions, now open just off the Strip. See the slideshow.

You can come with up to six friends. Preferably the kind with pent-up issues about the state-of-the-world-today/slow Netflix streaming/whatever. Then you'll choose the objects you'll unleash your aggression on, ordering items in small, medium and large, which includes beer bottles, small electronics, printers and car windows, respectively.

With the plan agreed upon, you’ll suit up in coveralls, boots and gloves, then pick your weapon. Maybe you're of the bat-wielding variety of smasher. Or perhaps you do your best destruction via crowbar. There are also bowling pins, axe handles, hockey sticks and golf clubs.

Next, it's off to do some damage. Entering the space, you'll find everything there for the breaking. And the design changes daily. So maybe you'll get to unleash your fury on a microwave or pyramid of bottles. If you're lucky, you can recreate your favorite Office Space scene all over some poor printer.

And as you go about wrecking the room, you should begin feeling lighter, more centered and less stressed as time passes.

Beats therapy.

On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
