LiqrBox Might Be River North's Most Over-the-Top Nightclub

Two Stories of Neon Lights, Pizza Puffs and Boozy Juice Boxes

Welcome to River North's hottest new nightclub. It has disco llamas, boozy juice boxes and shots served out of a slot machine.

Yes, that was a Stefon reference. No, this isn't an SNL sketch. It's LiqrBox, a gloriously ridiculous new neon funhouse where you'll be dancing until 4am while drinking flavored vodka out of plastic boxes. It's open now, and here it is in pictures.

They'll ease you in here with a first floor cocktail lounge where exposed brick walls are covered in collage-style street art. There, you can snack on pizza puffs and short rib Italian beef while deciding whether or not to take a pineapple and jalapeño-infused tequila shot from a slot machine. You may need one to prepare yourself for what's waiting upstairs.

The first thing you might notice upon arriving up there is that local artists have reimagined classic Italian frescos in spray paint. Or that the turquoise booths have a nice view of the bar. Or that there's a disco ball-style llama. Probably the llama.

Summon yourself a "Blue" that, according to the folks behind the bar, "taste like unicorns." Or opt for the Rainbow Beat Box, which gets you all six juice box flavors and, presumably, one of the more potent hangovers of your adult life.

Which will be very well earned.
