Your Suite in Botswana Is Surrounded by Lions

But You're Busy Watching Hippos and Crocs From the Infinity Pool

As a general rule, don't expect lions to be very good at sharing.

But they'll totally give you your space in this corner of the Okavango Delta in Botswana.

Just as long as you watch your step.

While exploring the untouched woodlands, wildlife and many-splendored lagoons of Qorokwe Camp, a newly opened luxury lodge stashed among the lush plains and riverbanks of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. See the slideshow.

Not much separates you from nature here but a tented suite with mosquito netting around a four-poster bed, a screen door and... oh look, a zebra. Step onto your private veranda to take this encounter in from your splash pool. Zebras don't bite, let's assume.

Or if you'd rather commune with nature from a more traditional perspective, they'll hook you up with a trip on the river via mokoro, better known as the region's indigenous pole-steered canoes. Of course, four-wheel safaris are also available to see all the elephants, giraffes, leopards and lions around here. If you're vanilla like that.

Then back at the main camp, they'll prepare a big meal for you to enjoy around the fire pit. Plus the open-air lodge also has its own bar. And there's an infinity pool overlooking the lagoon.

You know, more traditional safari stuff.
