We normally don't like giving you explicit orders.

But when a retro, Wisconsin-inspired cocktail bar that doubles as a bowling alley wants to ply you with Rob Roys, you will drink those Rob Roys.

And you will do so at the Pink Squirrel, a new Logan Square funhouse that sits next to Deadbolt and is run by the very man behind it. It's open now and here's the slideshow.

This vinyl-covered paradise channels your parent's basement of yore with an assortment of bowling trophies over seafoam green booths and a healthy amount of houseplants.

Then there's the bowling alley. More specifically, there's the pair of duckpin bowling lanes (no holes in the balls, shorter lanes...) that you can book for you and a few friends who would probably, definitely be into such a scenario.

Between games, your server would be more than happy to bring you an assortment of Supper Club classic cocktails. A Brandy Alexander or the namesake Pink Squirrel should do it. If not, there's a menu of highballs, milkshakes and a brandy-forward Old Fashioned.

You've outdone yourself, Wisconsin.

Sarah Freeman is often accused of hiding secrets in her hair. She can make any cocktail, as long as that cocktail is a rye Old Fashioned, and has never met a saison she didn’t like.
