32-Ounce Tomahawk Steaks and a Round of Darts in River North

Welcome to the Golden Age of Dart Bars

Dart bars are the new ping-pong bars.

According to someone who has the authority to make such claims. Or something.

Anyway, club owner Roman Sánchez and restaurateur Adolfo Garcia are banking on that being the case as they get ready to open River North's new dart bar, Point & Feather, on Thursday. You can check it out here for now.

You might notice that some things look familiar—like the trio of bars covered in antique clocks and ornate cabinetry—while other things are decidedly different. Mainly, yes, the electronic dart boards that are tucked away between bookshelves and hidden in corners.

Request to be seated in one of the libraries and you'll have your very own board as well as a server who can bring you things like lamb belly bao and 32-ounces of tomahawk steak. Because that's what people do when they play darts, right?

Those things will pair nicely with the Matcha Pea Shoot, a gin-based concoction made with sugar snap pea purée, matcha and egg white. And if, for some reason, you can't seem to find a menu to order your next round, not to worry. The cocktails are written on the walls.

How dart-bar of them.
