Hotel EMC2, now open in Streeterville, is where art meets science.

It’s also where doodles in the hallways are actually time-lapse videos, glass-enclosed showers sit in the middle of guest rooms and robots deliver fresh towels.

Yes, robots.

Two robots, to be exact, that go by the names Cleo and Leo. So, when you realize you’ve forgotten your toothbrush, you’ll summon Alexa, who will then signal Cleo to deliver one to your door. If this is the future, you’re probably okay with it. And that future looks like this.

But robots aside, the hotel’s handsome restaurant, the Albert, occupies two floors and has walls lined with 12,000 books. You’ll want to get acquainted with Albert for reasons like green asparagus soup and Rohan duck in XO sauce.

Enjoy lunch or dinner under the cocktail infusers at the bar or the copper pots at the chef’s counter. Upstairs, the lounge doubles as an extension of the lobby, where you can sip on white Negronis while overlooking paintings of books playing chess, Grecian busts and Renaissance-style eyes.

And we mentioned the place is lousy with robots, right?
