You live in a city where there’s no shortage of places to sweat with attractive strangers and drink sparkling things while bone-rattling bass drops inch you further into the debaucherous recesses of the night.

This is... kind of like that.

But also kind of not. You see, Envie, a new club that opens tonight on Collins, is simply a sexy new place to grab a nice tequila drink, dance a little and meet someone new. Check it out.

It’s attached to Byblos and comes courtesy of the guy behind Toronto’s Dragonfly. And as you may have gathered, it’s more intimate than mega-club.

You’ll begin your evening at the bar, as one does. It’s made of silver stone and reflective gold and they’ll make you an Ottoman Cartel behind it. That has tequila, beet juice and a barberry reduction in it, and it’s going to make you happy.

That one song will come on. Half of your group will abandon their purple velvet couch and spend the rest of the night with whichever local DJ is spinning.

You’ll have no choice but to make a new friend. So you’ll do that, and you’ll laugh and dance and drink Old Fashioneds together, which they make with a sweet Turkish coffee blend here.

Maybe drink some coffee in the morning, too.
