A Pumpkin Spice Negroni. In a Pumpkin.

Because if It’s Got to Be Pumpkin Spice... Put Gin in It

Look, we get it.

If you see another food or drink get the pumpkin spice treatment, you might draw blood.

We feel the same way.

But this is a pumpkin spice Negroni that’s served in an actual pumpkin.

So... right. This one gets a free pass on account of all the gin. And the eco-friendly receptacle.

Make an exception for this intriguing cocktail from Mia Mastroianni. If you’ve ever been to Soho House in West Hollywood, you’ve probably tried her drinks. If you watch TV, you may have seen her on Bar Rescue. Point is, she made you a pumpkin spice Negroni and even had the foresight to know you’d be requiring the recipe.

For starters, this thing’s sporting gin and Campari (of course). There’s some Frangelico instead of vermouth (okay). Pumpkin puree syrup (gotta have that). And an egg white to give it all a latte-esque foam. And then, she puts the whole thing in a goddamn pumpkin because Halloween is coming up and it’s the right thing to do. Or maybe she just ran out of rocks glasses...

Either way, now you’ve got your marching orders for any upcoming parties you’re hosting. Or Netflix horror marathons you’ve been goaded into attending. Or tonight when you’ve got a few minutes to spare and a pumpkin burning a hole in your pocket.

We could make a joke here about pumpkins not fitting into pockets, but instead we’ll just leave you with the recipe and see ourselves out.

Pumpkin Spice Negroni

1 oz Bulldog Gin
1 oz Campari
3/4 oz Frangelico
1/2 oz pumpkin puree infused syrup (available online)
1 egg white

Combine all ingredients and shake without ice. Then shake again, this time with ice, and strain into a small hollow pumpkin (or a glass). Garnish with a light dusting of cinnamon and pumpkin seeds.
