Your Perks: 1) 78% off Georges Rech polo shirts. Huge in France, bigger on Perks. 2) Six bottles of Château Montaud Côtes de Provence rosé. Which loosely translates to “summer’s ideal rosé.” 3) The kind of leather bag that’s practically begging to be taken on vacation. Begging.
Things to do for July 16, 2015
Bikinis, Beers and Burgers. But Mostly Bikinis.
The weekend. Still an all-star.
Estadio Is Five; Denizens Is One
Anniversaries: they’re everywhere. Like at Estadio, where its fifth means 2010 wines, five new G&Ts, two slushitos and Spanish microbeers. It’s all half off during happy hour. Meanwhile, Denizens Brewing is celebrating its first all day, with DJs and live music, special tappings and $5 prices on almost every beer.
The Swimsuit Models Are Here
Models. Swimsuits. Models modeling swimsuits. It’s fun how words make sentences. Anyway, you’ll find such things tonight at Vida’s rooftop pool at the Yards, along with tequila drinks and nice views. All kinds of nice views.
16 Burgers Is Not Too Many
Let’s take a statistical look at the third annual DC BRGR Bash:
16: Restaurants serving burgers.
16: Sizes of the pours, in ounces, from the likes of DC Brau and Atlas Brew Works.
6: Hours of live music, from the likes of White Ford Bronco.
6: Hours before you’ll need to eat again. (Minimum.)
Socially Acceptable Drinking in Church
This involves a road trip. But it also involves beer. In a church. For the second year, this circa-1735 church in Virginia’s Northern Neck is fundraising with a dozen beers, a pair of bluegrass bands, and all the barbecue and ice cream you care to have. Tom Jefferson would be proud.
Look: It’s Another Burger, Tap & Shake
You’ve probably been to BTS near GW. So for their Tenley location, you’ll expect the Six Buck Chuck burgers, spiked milkshakes and 11 taps. You might not expect the outdoor patio, the giant mural of an eagle staring down at you and the off-menu root beer float. Nobody expects the off-menu root beer float.
