Meat noun \ˈmēt\ : the flesh of an animal used as food.

Boy, Webster’s just doesn’t even begin to tell the story on that one, does it?

For a more thorough regaling, try Bowery Meat Company, a mighty and mid-century-mod expanse of carnivorous pursuits, and the latest from the good folks behind Lure Fishbar, B&B Winepub and El Toro Blanco. Its time of opening has come.

So obviously the thing to get here is the Bitter Greens...

Just kidding (although it’s probably delicious). But focus on what’s important. Things that include the words “chop” or “steak” or “boeuf for two” or “oxtail arancini” (yeah, there’s oxtail arancini now).

Because those are the things that are going to be excelled at here, right after you take your luxurious place in the sexy dining room (this one, in the pictures), with your fork and knife inverted, napkin applied as bib. Prior to that seating, you were at the bar, keeping it simple with a dirty martini, which tend to be abnormally well made at these guys’ places.

Seemed like a nice moment for you.
