Late-Night Steak Tacos in Albany Park

None 7 Photos Cantina Pasadita
Tonight, you’ll probably watch the Stanley Cup finals.

And it would be a shame if you weren’t simultaneously eating a ribeye taco.

So meet Cantina Pasadita, a gleaming new spot for Mexican steak, rum-spiked chocolate horchata and late-night shenanigans, now open in Albany Park.

This is the upscale cousin to La Pasadita, that chain of taquerias that have played savior to countless late-night revelers seeking refuge in the redemptive arms of a giant burrito.

But this is no little taco joint. There are dramatic ceilings, a stone fireplace and a rather pleasant sidewalk patio ready for midweek margarita-ing.

The plan tonight: you and a group of friends will come in, situate yourselves in a giant booth to watch the game, then split pineapple stuffed with shrimp and a Parillada Cantina, a smorgasbord of grilled Black Angus beef, sausage, chicken and shrimp.

Then again, if you happen to stumble in after midnight, you’ll be happy to know there will be a ribeye taco waiting to comfort you. As well as the tortilla-wrapped Quesadilla Burger.

If things are really dire, order the taco sampler. It’s basically every kind of taco they have.

At least one of them should make you feel better.
