A New Place for Foie Gras Burgers

This weekend, you’ll be inundated with F-16 fighter planes, the roar of jets overhead.

And, of course, the grand finale: foie gras burgers.

Meet LM Bistro, a fetching little French nook for foie gras and cassoulet, now open in the River North’s Hotel Felix.

Until recently, LM was in Lincoln Square (it also has a sister restaurant on South Michigan), so it comes battle-tested. Well, tested in the kind of battles that serve cassoulet and suckling pig, anyway.

You’ll find this place is unstuffy, with bright-orange pillars and a little outdoor café on the corner. It’s an easy win when you need someplace simple to meet out-of-town friends for a champagne at the bar and maybe split yellowtail or even a foie gras–topped burger with crispy frites after the Air & Water Show.

But it’s also good for those quickie lunch meetings. They have two- and three-course prix fixe options standing by to get you a soup du jour and bistro steak as quickly as possible... and then get out.

After all, you’ve got a T-38 Talon to barrel roll.
