William and Kate’s Luggage, Now in DC

None 7 Photos Sterling & Burke
By now, it feels like you’ve lived through the whole day with William and Kate. After all, you can’t raise a gin and tonic at 4am for no reason.

Where you won’t be: on the honeymoon. Which is too bad, because we hear that some great leather will be involved.

Fortunately, it’s the kind of leather that a Yank like you can get your hands on, now that Sterling & Burke is open in Georgetown.

This is the kind of two-level shop of dark wood, umbrella stands and big-game heads that Churchill might have ducked into when he needed a new attaché for his latest manuscript.

As you might expect from such a place, you can get an ostrich-handled golf umbrella or some stationery worthy of No. 10 Downing Street.

But you’ll want to focus on their specialty: hand-cut, hand-stitched English bridle leather by the same tannery that supplies the royal family (in fact, they sent Will and Kate a set of honeymoon luggage). Think bar cases with room for three full bottles and four rocks glasses (and a cucumber, should you be making Pimm’s Cups), or a fully bespoke briefcase, where you choose the color, stitching, suede lining and secret pockets.

Don’t worry, it’s TSA legal.
