This humble after-work cocktail hour goes full-on Fashion Week with free food, signature drinks (like the bourbon-heavy Let's-Bee-Frank), and plenty of giveaways. Those are mostly women's wear, so you'll want to bring a date—or find your next one from the guest list's bevy of socialites and models.
The Hot List: Fashion Week Partying
Contrary to rumor, Boston Fashion Week is not an oxymoron. Instead, you'll find glamorous crowds, free-flowing drinks and (oh, right) some new threads. To celebrate, we're giving you the 411 on the best parties and events coming up over the next week or so. See you in the VIP lounge.
For your evening's next stop, you prefer a place with models, loud music, and (if possible) a location that's close to the place you just left (i.e., the Beehive). Head to 33 Restaurant and Lounge Friday for just that, not to mention Passionfruit Bellinis and free hors d'oeuvres so good even a model might eat one.
Langham hotspot BOND is hosting a full runway show and gala party on Sunday, featuring styles from Stil Boutique, a raffle and silent auction for items ranging from free stays at the Langham to Red Sox gear and clothes from Karmaloop. There'll be live jazz for two hours before the show, and Grey Goose cocktails for the taking, which should put you in a bidding mood.
Legendary Boston menswear designer Alan Rouleau is throwing a party at the Intercontinental Hotel to introduce his foray into women's couture, but we're more interested in the sampling of Cold River Vodkas, the array of Tuscan wines from Sensi, and the beautiful women slated to be in attendance. We figured you would be too.
Fashion Week concludes at blu with a final blowout after the Emerging Trends fashion show. There'll be two DJs and yet more runway models (we're guessing that's okay with you). The night's best dressed will be chosen at midnight, giving you a shot to relive your prom-king memories.
