Oh, Just a Smartphone From Pablo Escobar's Brother

It Folds. It Shoots. It Starts Conversations Easily.

None

You've made it through 2019.

And nothing can really astonish you anymore.

So when we tell you that Pablo Escobar’s brother has created a cellphone for the general public, we expect there to be no further questions.

Still, despite it all, we go on...

It’s called the Escobar Fold 1. And at the risk of repeating ourselves, it’s a friggin’ cellphone made by cocaine baron Pablo Escobar’s older brother, Roberto De Jesús Escobar Gaviria. And it’s available now.

Roberto was a cofounder of and accountant for the Medellin cartel. After serving a stretch for his involvement, he made billions of dollars, tried to sue Narcos, started a flamethrower war with Elon Musk and launched a 10 million-dollar funding site to impeach Trump. You know, a typical rags-to-riches story.

And to tell you the truth, this may not be a bad phone. It’s a foldable smartphone on the Android OS that has its own 16 megapixel camera, fingerprint scanner, dual SIM, 7.8-inch flexible screen and claims that it’s nearly indestructible.

However, we see even more intrinsic value as a conversation piece. In a conversation that, pretty much, always goes like this:

Random person #1: Wow, I’ve never seen a phone like that. Where’d you get it?

You: From Pablo Escobar’s brother, Roberto.

At which point, they’ll either love you or leave you alone.
