Rum, Cigars and a Private Beach. St. Barts Is Calling.

Manapany Hotel Is Something Special

Spring. It's finally, truly, no-kidding here.

Just in time for you to go someplace warmer.

Someplace like Manapany Hotel, a new 43-room beachside escapery nestled beside a nature preserve on that most lovely of all French-speaking Caribbean islands, St. Barts.

The rooms are spread across a collection of 35 villas, so staying here is like having your own little house. That's always fun, particularly when said little house is made of colorful, tropical woods and comes with its own sundeck and sweeping ocean views (this slideshow's pretty easy on the eyes, too).

As pleasant as that all sounds, you're going to leave your villa at some point. And aside from the private beach, you could visit the resort's adults-only pool or get a massage at the ocean-facing spa. Hell, you could even arrange a shipwreck dive if you're really feeling that buried-treasure mood.

If deciding is stressful, take it easy and ponder your choices over dinner at the restaurant, where you'll come across such things as chorizo arancini and Creole-style red snapper (check out the menu). And should you feel the urge to end the evening with rum and a cigar, you can silently point to one of each from the bar menu's respective rum and cigar sections.

You could also just ask for them.
