Brickell's New Late-Night Funhouse Is a Sight to Behold

Neon, Gin and a Fabergé Egg- Looking DJ Booth Where Segafredo Once Stood

Change is good.

Just remember that when we tell you that Segafredo's institution-like happy hours are no more.

Because now, you live in a Brickell with Barsecco, a new late-night restaurant/lounge/general funhouse that's currently open and looks all shiny and beautiful like this.

Yes, where you once went to chat up pretty people and enjoy post-work drinks, you'll now go to... pretty much do the same thing. Only later.

You'll enter through a tunnel of bougainvilleas and emerge into a terrace adorned with draping vines and barn wood. That Fabergé egg-looking thing over there is the DJ booth. Now feels like a good time to just keep on repeating the fact that things have a tendency to go late here.

Inside has a strong outside vibe. Blame it on the Kiki's on the River and Bodega people. Oh, and the towering indoor tree. The rich woods and greenery play up the Garden of Eden feel, while the neon signs play up the things-you'll-Instagram-after-spicy-cucumber-cilantro-margaritas feel.

Either hit that bar inside or head to one of the two outside ones. All will be stocked with gin, cucumbers, rosemary and prosecco for your Ginsecco. And when hunger arrives, settle in at a patio table beneath the black-and-white awnings for Cuban bao with confit pork shoulder or some tempura mahi tacos.

The flowing drinks. The growing crowd. The dancing. This is your time. Your time down here.

Don't act like you've never seen a pointless Goonies reference before.

On a typical Wednesday, Ginger Harris is likely seeking reposado tequila, squeezing her way to the front of a concert or jumping on the back of an Indian motorcycle. That’s just Wednesdays, though.
