The Indian Ocean Sure Looks Nice From Your Rooftop Pool

A South Bali Resort Where Surfing Is Encouraged, But Not Mandatory

We don't like making assumptions about you.

Okay, maybe just this one: that you'd probably prefer to be in Bali right now pampered by private butlers while your surf instructor gets everything ready for your next session.

If we're wrong, our apologies. You seemed like the type.

But if we're right...

You can look forward to COMO Uma Canggu, a 2.2-acre resort on the south coast of Bali that has no shortage of qualified surf instructors or penthouse residences with private butlers. It's now accepting reservations for a February 15th opening. And here's a look.

Now, we know you'll be on vacation. So we don't want to crowd your schedule. But consider this a glimpse at what your day might look like...

Morning: Wake in your three-bedroom penthouse to panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Immediately realize that said panoramic views will be better viewed from your rooftop pool.

Afternoon: Enjoy surf lessons from a qualified surf instructor. Practice how you'll tell friends and family that you rode what are supposedly "some of the best surf breaks in Bali." But not out loud.

Evening: Find much-deserved physical nourishment at COMO Beach Club, the resort's interpretation of a surf shack. That's where you'll find a wood-fired grill, intoxicating beverages and music in the form of live acoustic acts and DJ sets.

Clearly these guys know how to interpret the hell out of a surf shack.
