A Duo of Lush Thai Resorts Right on the Beach

Coconut Scrubs, Elephant Dates and Muay Thai Lessons

Two beautiful waterfront resorts just opened in Thailand.

They have a lot of beach.

And a ton of pools.

And even some elephants.

So, looks like you're going to Thailand.

Your first destination is Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui. It's a beachfront gem of a resort overlooking the gulf of Thailand. It lets you spends your mornings learning the brutal art of Muay Thai and the afternoon cooling off in the largest swimming reef in Southeast Asia.

After that, all you need do is retreat to your glass-encased villa, where a cliff-side terrace overlooks an infinity pool, which overlooks the ocean. Not bad, Thailand.

Next you'll head to the island of Phuket, a land of high mountains, white sand beaches and frequent elephant-sightings. It’s also home to Rosewood Phuket, another completely gorgeous oceanside resort with 600-meters of beach. Which sounds like a lot, according to our loose knowledge of the metric system.

This whole place is dedicated to wellness. And you will feel pretty good after gorging on beyond-fresh seafood at Ta Khai, the fishpond-adjacent restaurant. If not, poolside drinks at Mai can't possibly fail.

Between activities, you'll stay in the Ocean View Pool Pavilion. As that name suggests, it has an infinity pool with ocean views. But what that name doesn’t necessarily suggest is you and your date making cocktails to enjoy while soaking in your courtyard's bathtub.

So we’re going to go ahead and suggest it.
