Bet you'll never guess what Mikkeller, the Alembic, Monk's Kettle, Benu, In Situ and four guys who love you very much have in common.

...

We'll just pretend you were thinking, "A handsome new bar and restaurant in Lower Pac Heights called the Snug from four gentlemen with a very impressive collective resume."

And that it's open now. And that it looks like this.

Bring a date here. Probably a third one. As the two of you make your way into this high-ceilinged spot off Filmore, notice the tandem antique bike on the wall and the old-school ceiling fans on rotors that definitely don't do anything for airflow but still look cool so it's okay.

Step up to the bar and peruse the beer menu chosen by those Mikkeller and Monk's Kettle guys. Or go for a cocktail from the Alembic alum. Match your personality with a Prickly Pear made from mezcal, amaro, nopales, prickly pear, habanero and lime.

Whistles wet, conversation flowing, retire to a table away from the crowd on the mezzanine and check out your dinner options from the chef who's bringing Benu and In Situ experience with him. Go for the Korean Fried Chicken Wings, then class things up with a Trotter Hot Dog topped with perilla mustard, ham hock "ketchup" and shiso relish.

You heard us. Classy hot dog.
