You're Gonna Want to Go to Berkeley for This

They say if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours.

So hopefully you didn't get too sad when 2 Sisters Bar & Books closed, because the same team behind it has come back to you with their latest venture… in Berkeley.

But Berkeley you will now surely frequent thanks to Les Arceaux, a daytime café and a nighttime wine bar named after the arches of the Roman aqueduct that loomed over the Southern French market that inspired it. It's open now. Check it out.

You'll walk in and note the brass lighting, marble tabletops and teal wool booths. How… French?

If you're here for the café at breakfast, order a homemade English muffin with jam or a fried egg and merguez. For the evening, you and friends will grab communal dishes like chicken drumsticks in mustard and white wine sauce with purple potato paillasson.

You'll soon realize that food without wine isn't really food at all, so a careful perusal of their playful wine list will certainly be in order. Everything you see on there is available by the half or full glass. And, yes, it's available no matter the time of day.

You love a good breakfast wine.
