Quick, when we say Scandinavian, what comes to mind?

If, at the very least, that last thing sounds intriguing to you, then you've got a friend in Kantine. Danish for "canteen," it's a sleek, Scandinavian café offering breakfast, lunch and brunch and it's now open on Market. Take a look around.

It's a bright, high-ceilinged affair that'll make you marvel at the simple elegance of Scandinavian design that you don't have to assemble yourself. But you came here for an amazing meal, so get to looking at the menu.

If you're here for lunch, grab a smørrebrød (an open-faced sandwich) like that smoked trout rillette one. If you're more of the brunch type—and you are—go for a build-your-own brunch board that gives you a choice of 5-7 items like overnight muesli and a poached egg cup with herbs and asparagus.
