trashglam
adjective | /traSHglam/
: dive bar mixed with an '80s Miami club that wouldn't look out of place in Scarface

"That new Korean restaurant called Foxsister that opens on October 9 in the Mission from a former flour + water and Slanted Door chef is so trashglam."

Don't worry, the chef calls it that, too.

You and some friends will enter through the neon, local street artist-graffitied exterior into a black dining room. As your eyes adjust, you'll head to a bright red booth against a mirrored wall, or to some seats at the purple glitter-top bar. Ah, that's trashglam.

Take in your surroundings a bit more as you choose from curiosities like kimchi nacho cheese dip with pork cracklings and lotus chips and the F.S. Wings that come in sizes ranging anywhere from "basket of wings" to "some chicken" to "a lot of chicken."

They'll have pitchers of beer, too, so that's casual. But if it's not your style, a drink off their soju cocktail menu or one of the frozen drinks from their slushee machines (piña colada, frozé...) should work in a pinch.

BYO little drink umbrellas.
