Sometimes, in an attempt to sneak a peek into the interior lives of the rich and famous, we’re forced to launch an investigation into the evidence at the public’s disposal. By which we mean, grossly overanalyze whom these people choose to follow on Instagram.

Today, we take a look into the deep follows of one Gigi Hadid, 21-year-old runway/swimsuit model, social media powerhouse, much-more-followed big sister of Bella and companion of Zayn Malik. Let's see what Freud, Jung and Rogers have to say about the lass. Just kidding, let's dive headlong down the rabbit hole and bullshit this thing...

The Bell Curve
Gigi has more than twice as many followers as Bella, and follows more than three times as many people. Her typical follow is a fellow model, a photographer, a designer, a publication she's been featured in, or a ripoff humor account. Sometimes all of the above.

Outliers
@celebsonsandwiches
Truth in advertising. It’s an IG account that is just one watercolor painting after another of caricatured celebrities sitting on various sandwiches. It’s mesmerizing, and it speaks to a quirky sense of humor.

This is account dedicated to high-fashion looks and street style for Barbie, the doll, whom Gigi is a pretty solid human approximation of. It appears to be officially affiliated with Mattel in some capacity. This could mean a lot of things. It could speak to Gigi’s aforementioned quirk, it could be a serious upcoming niche in the fashion community, of she could be in talks for a collaboration, a la her Tommy Hilfiger line.

@archdigest, @amytastley, @prefabnsmallhomes
If it were just Architectural Digest and Amy Astley, the publication’s Editor-in-Chief, we could chalk it up to random friendship, but then there’s the follow of an account dedicated to well-designed, efficient prefabricated and small homes. Gigi’s father, Mohamed, is a big-time real estate developer, so it’s safe to say Gigi grew up around architectural marvels. In this interest may lay the kernel of a post-modeling career. There's also always the possibility that this is an elaborate inside joke about George Costanza.

Looks like we’ve got an SVU fan in the house.

@doniyabeauty and @trishamalik1069
Sister (and prominent beauty blogger) and mother of Zayn Malik, respectively. An obvious indicator that the relationship is serious.

This just amuses us.

Diagnosis
Gigi shows all the signs of being a well-adjusted super famous person. She doesn't seem to take herself too seriously but demonstrates a committment to her employers and the publications that feature her. She indicates foresight and an interest in expanding her horizons beyond modeling with her fashion design and curiosity about sustainable architecture. She perhaps aspires to be the world's second female architect named Hadid (no relation though) to achieve acclaim. Until such time when that happens, we'll continue to enjoy her modeling career.

Geoff Rynex is the only person named Geoff Rynex in the history of mankind. He would rather have the best burger than the best steak, likes hearing bartender stories and spends too much money on clothes.
