There’s not enough banana pudding in New York.

If you disagree, thanks for playing. We’ll see you Monday.

But if you’re on the right side of the argument, here’s 33 Greenwich, part Southern-style diner and part very much New York–style hangout that’s been put together by a band of fashion folk, a Waverly Inn vet and several artists. It’s open now in the West Village.

We’re going to do this one slideshow-style. Ahead: tea-brined fried chicken for two, jars of oysters with saltines and one of the more alluring murals in the city.

And if you’re the type who needs to look at a menu, here’s that.

Geoff Rynex is the only person named Geoff Rynex in the history of mankind. He would rather have the best burger than the best steak, likes hearing bartender stories and spends too much money on clothes.
