Lunetta All Day

Eggs. Steaks. Cocktails. You Could Hypothetically Spend All Day Here.

And Here’s How You’d Hypothetically Do Just That

We know this hasn’t happened in a while.

Opening up some news and seeing something that just... makes sense.

But it’s happening. It’s real.

It’s Lunetta All Day, a modern, decidedly Santa Monican diner from Raphael Lunetta and the owners of Maple Block Meat Co. that’s opening Monday in the former Josie space.

Here’s a sunny place where you can do pretty much everything you want to do indoors in Santa Monica. And here’s the plan:

9:05am
You’ll be damned. They have parking. And a marble surface laden with scones, cookies and bread. While debating the finer of these merits, you’ll eat mesquite-fired eggs. You’re hopeful for a resolution.

1:17pm
You decide your informal meeting will go smoother with draft beers, pasilla-negro-rubbed carnitas and a side of fresh-cut fries. If CHiPs was green-lit, how can they pass on your robot-with-a-heart-of-gold thing?

7:50pm
Word is out. Now that human you’re seeing insists you take them here. “The rotisserie small-eye prime rib, the grilled fish and a bottle of pinot, please.” Your date subtly beams when that comes out of your mouth.

9:45pm
You’re at the bar sharing a nightcap. It involves rye, softly grazing fingers and intimate whispers.

We don’t know how everything ends. Sorry.
