And so here is Kreuther Handcrafted Chocolate, a big, bright shop of sweet foods and childlike wonder from a man who possesses a Beard not on his face, but in his trophy case. It’s open now across from Bryant Park.
This is right next to Gabriel Kreuther’s eponymous restaurant. And you may be thinking, “Wow, what a coincidence that a chocolate place named Kreuther would end up there.” Well, it’s not.
As for what it actually has to offer, all manner of creative bonbons, pastries and macarons (including the cheesecake variety), along with some composed dessert options. Most of these things are positioned in spotless glass cases. The type that may cause you to lose your senses for a moment and reach toward said glass, only to be jarred back to reality when your hand runs into it. Then you look around sheepishly, making sure no one saw you do that. You know the drill.
They are making the chocolates right here in the open, so you can marvel at that as well. When you look at these photos of all these things and decide to just ruin the hell out of your appetite for dinner tonight, we’ve got your back.
Candy solidarity, people.
