Warby Parker has collaborated with the artist behind Darcel Disappoints to create a monocle, and we thought you should know.
You see, Darcel is an online comic character who is, essentially, a large eye. A large eye who wears a monocle himself, so that’s why this makes sense.
Now, you may be thinking to yourself, “I don’t need a monocle.” And we get it. You’re right. It’s a ridiculous thing to exist in 2016, but what if they were to sweeten the deal with a leather carrying case or an artwork cling to keep that pesky thing from sliding all over the place? No? Okay, well, it’s a nice-looking monocle and you can also get it as a sunglass lens. If you’re still not convinced, allow us to present a quick red/yellow/green guide to when it’s okay and not to wear such an accessory:
Green: You’re attending a Clue-themed party or required to dress as the Monopoly man, the Penguin or Mr. Peanut.
Yellow: Your eyeglasses have just been destroyed beyond repair.
Red: All other times.
