If beer is good, and sports are good, then just imagine what beer and sports together would be like.

Just imagine...

Keep pretending that’s never been done before and enjoy the majesty of BuzzWorks. It’s a grand new bar that is absolutely all about those two aforementioned things, it’s soft-open now in SoMa, and here’s what it looks like.

This is from the guy behind Butter. But instead of Jell-O shots and tallboys, you’ll find a slightly elevated ode to all things really good beer in a warehouse-y space that used to be a welding studio.

Head upstairs and play some pool. Settle in downstairs at the marble-topped bar next to the vintage pinball machines. Huge TVs are all around you. Everybody’s happy. You get the sense that this place has been here for 50 years, but it hasn’t because we already told you it hasn’t.

And since the Olympics are coming up, they’re planning on opening at 8am so that nary an event goes unwatched. Plenty of time to get to know this menu of 40 rotating taps and 108 bottles like the Espress Yourself, a sour brewed with coffee.

Also worth mentioning: soon, you’ll be able to order food from nearby restaurants for delivery to your bar stool.

Just like at home, but with much more beer. And sports.
