You’re an optimist.

The kind of person who hears the word “Monday” and thinks: Wow. An entire new week filled with so many fresh opportunities.

To drink wine and beer.

At places like Belle Cora.

It’s a local hangout for cold beverages and alfresco lounging and maybe some bacon mac and cheese, and it’s now open in North Beach.

If you live in the area, this is your neighborhood go-to for lunch or happy hour. If you don’t... well, this is still a solid lunch or happy hour spot.

Upon entering, you may notice some redwood. That’s because there’s a lot of redwood in here. You could sit at a (redwood) table or at the (redwood) bar. There’ll be a ton of beers by the bottle or local brews coming out of the (redwood) taps behind it.

Or better yet, head out front to the sidewalk seating and bask in the hopefully-sun. Soon, things like straight-from-Germany soft pretzels and bratwursts and various sauces will start landing on your table.

Dip something in melted cheese. Dip something in sweet mustard. Sip on your Schneider Weisse Aventinus.

Have a thought like “Thanks, Germany.”
