Your Perks: 1) Button-ups in so many summer colors and styles, it’ll make your head spin. In a good way. 2) Ultra-insulated flasks, koozies, wedge-shaped ice molds... Basically a bunch of things to keep your beverages chilled. Very important. 3) A contraption that turns alcohol into gas. Seeing is believing.
Things to do for June 11, 2015
Pizza Lunches and Sunday Brunches
The Call of the Weekend
Pizza Lunches and $3 Beers
1. Greenville Avenue Pizza Company is now serving lunch. Swing by for one of their massive slices, plus a
salad and a drink for $10.
2. Braindead has a new daytime happy hour. It involves you drinking $3 house-brewed beers on your lunch break and then reconsidering going back to work.
Three Days of Good Eating
This weekend: Taste of Dallas. But also, and for the first time ever, Taste the Difference. That’s your opportunity to eat and drink a bunch of particularly good things from some of the best chefs in town. Don’t squander it.
If you’re in the market for a summery new T-shirt, impressive mural work and cold beers, swing by the Wheron pop-up party on Saturday. Because there you’ll find... all those things. Hence our bringing it up.
Sunday School Brunch Is Back at ZaZa
It’s back. Sunday School Brunch, that perfectly good excuse to spend your midday at Hotel ZaZa drinking champagne and dancing to a DJ while simultaneously eating a plate of eggs. It’s your time to shine.
Flying Kites at the Hub
This Sunday is Flag Day, and you know what that means. Oh, you don’t? Well, that makes sense. But it means you should get to the Hub for $3 drinks, a kite-flying contest and kite-flying prizes. No word yet on PED testing.
