JEAN THERAPY

Rye 51 Made You These Jeans

Rye 51 is doing something significant in fall-related leg wear. See, they’ve created their own line of jeans in multiple cuts and washes with material sourced from those denim experts at Cone Mills. Nothing like some good denim news to improve your day.

UD - Custom Cocktails from Alex Fletcher
SHAKE IT OFF

Custom Cocktails from Alex Fletcher

Alex Fletcher (Henry’s Majestic) makes good drinks. And now, Alex and team will make them at your next party, function, festival... whatever you’ve got. If you want a custom menu, sure. If you want to learn some home bartending tips, also sure. They’re quite accommodating.

Friday
UD - Po’boy Lunches at Twenty-Seven
TWENTY-SEVEN CLUB

Po’boy Lunches at Twenty-Seven

Since we last spoke, Deep Ellum lunching has improved significantly. Because Chef DAT’s temple of fine-dining dinners has just opened for casual counter-service and to-go lunches. Have some gumbo, have a po’boy (Kobe oxtail, jerk chicken, blackened fish), and, hey, throw in a midday cocktail. We won’t tell.

UD - Two Days of Food and Wine
WALK IN THE PARK

Two Days of Food and Wine

Here’s a big food/drink event at Klyde Warren Park. It’s full of demos, tastings and other reasons to spend time outdoors. For example: the Grand Tasting. That’s on Saturday, and it’s sporting 30 chefs, 30 wineries, beer and cocktails. Yep, “grand” sounds about right.

Saturday
UD - This Here Is a Hamburger Festival
HAM IT UP

This Here Is a Hamburger Festival

Hamburger festival. Okay, now that you’re convinced, you should check out this four-hour ode to burgers. It’s in Athens, it involves you eating many hamburgers, and there’s also a zipline running through town. Because, you know, ziplines and hamburgers.
