Your Perks: 1) A drone that fits in the palm of your hand. Which is a bad thing in no way. 2) Tom Ford sunglasses that’ll shield your eyes from other sunglasses that aren’t Tom Ford. And the sun, of course. 3) Underwear that’s way better than regular underwear. Thanks to science.
Things to do for July 30, 2015
The Hottest Burger in Town
Do not go gentle into that good weekend.
Something New from J.Crew
J.Crew just opened the first-in-the-country J.Crew Mercantile store at the Shops at Park Lane. You can find new stuff there. And the same affinity for outfitting you in shirts, pants and blazers. Yep, still a clothing store.
A Couple of Park Parties Here
1. Decks in the Park is back. Get to Klyde Warren tonight for DJs, dancing, food trucks and drinks. Plenty of drinks. It’s hot.
2. A very different park party is happening Saturday at Main Street Garden. It’s Sausage Fest, a day of sausages, music, beer and unfortunate jokes.
This Burger Is Really, Really Hot
If you love burgers but not your body, you should try the limited-time Ghostland Burgatory at Hopdoddy. It’s topped with ghost peppers, serranos, habaneros, pepper jack cheese and a ghost pepper sauce, and it’s so hot that it requires you to sign a waiver. So bring your attorney.
Even More Smoked Meat for You
The meat delivery guys at One90 have a storefront now. Go over there and say hi. And then proceed to say, “I’ll take a pound of brisket, a rack of ribs, some poblano sausage and a whole duck.” Then let them talk for a while.
A Water Balloon Fight at the Brewery
On Saturday, Texas Ale Project is serving beers. Sure. But they’re also hosting a big water balloon fight. So show up, drink said beers, and then at a couple of set times, everyone will unleash hell... slash water balloons.
