Napoleon Is Dead. Long Live... Kebabs.
LAP OF LUXURY

Napoleon Is Dead. Long Live... Kebabs.

Out: Napoleon in Adams Morgan, with all its black paint and Frenchness.
In: Lapis, with its antique chairs, candlesticks on the tables and its menu of decades-old Afghan family recipes, like beef stews, lamb-chop kebabs and dumplings that can be paired with the draft beers.
Unchanged: The great patio on the side.

Your Summer Cotton and Linen Are Here

You’ll need some cotton and linen this summer. So here’s Vince, now open at CityCenterDC, with their iconic V-neck tees, henleys, supersoft sweatshirts and linen shirts. They’ve got a few curveballs, too, like a blue blazer made from windbreaker fabric and a suede hoodie. Remember your umbrella when you wear that one.

Now open, Vince, 1093 Palmer Alley NW, 202-730-0157

Your Old Kentucky... Bar
DERBY DAY

Your Old Kentucky... Bar

You won’t be short on julep options come Saturday, but here are a couple noteworthy ones. Barrel is serving three: one barrel-aged, one slushy and one on tap. Meanwhile, the Willard is hosting its annual “Bonnets & Bow-Ties” watch party, where you should totally max out on the seersucker.

A Time Machine of Drinking

The first Sunday of each month this summer, Cashion’s is inviting in bartenders to pay homage to a certain decade of cocktailing. First up: the ’50s. So you should expect new takes on Grasshoppers and Pink Ladies, plus bar bites like Cheez Whiz beef sliders. Cheez Whiz: that old.
