Your Perks: 1) Some of Banksy’s best work from his NYC residency is now ready for your walls. 2) A paper-thin portable battery charger. These should be mandatory. 3) A guitar signed by Eric Clapton or Van Halen or the Boss or... someone else equally legendary.
Things to do for March 05, 2015
New Brunch, New Thai, New Shirts
Third time’s a weekend.
An Italian Tailor Is Making You Shirts
When a master tailor from Bergamo, Italy, named Paolo swings through town to measure you for some custom shirts, it’s only right that you partake. It’s either that or you going to Italy. Which... not a bad plan B. But this seems easier.
The Dallas Flea Gets a New Home
Here’s a list of locally made items you can acquire at Saturday’s Dallas Flea:
—Leather satchels and art.
—T-shirts and growlers.
—Barbecue and cake.
Shopping can sure be delicious at times.
It doesn’t feel much like spring. But maybe this will help. It’s a spring break block party in the Arts District, and it’s where you can find a whole bunch of food trucks, some live jazz and gratis admission to all the museums. You know, in case you get cold.
Two New Brunches Are Upon Us
Two brunches enter, one brunch leaves. That’s not true. That’s crazy. But even so, Knife (pictured) is serving brunch now, and that means short rib benedicts and tomatillo Bloody Marys. And also: ZaZa’s infamous Sunday School brunch is back, complete with champagne and a dancing panda. So, two very different brunches.
Hey, Here’s a New Thai Place
Chef Eddy Thretipthuangsin (but you can call him Eddy T) has a new restaurant up his sleeve. It’s a promising Thai spot serving curries and noodles and five-spice spareribs. Though it’s technically in Fort Worth and not up his sleeve as we previously stated. Apologies for any confusion.
