Five New Year’s Day Brunches. Our Pleasure.

We can’t really tell you what to expect from the whole of 2015. But we can tell you what to expect from its first day: lamb-neck pierogies, prime rib in a ballroom and an embarrassment of Bloody Mary riches. These are your New Year’s Day brunches.

CITY LANDING

The Blessed Union of Bloodys and Pizza

You Require: Emergency hair-of-the-dog treatment.
You’ll Receive: This once-a-year “Of Bloody & Bacon” brunch. Expect five Bloodys (from the beet puree Bloody Nikita to the Slim Jim–garnished Down South) paired with things like pesto brunch pizza with housemade bacon. The name might have been a giveaway.

THE FIREPLACE

Seafood Towers and Pajamas: Happening

You Require: Prodigious amounts of lobster meat and full creative control over mimosas.
You’ll Receive: A DIY-Bloody bar, a tableside make-your-own-mimosas situation, seafood towers, truffled eggs benedict and a pajamas-only dress code strictly observed by staff but encouraged for you as well. You heard them.

ROW 34

A 3pm Dinner at Row 34

You Require: Sleep.
You’ll Receive: Row 34’s dinner menu in all its glory, but served at 3pm to accommodate your... schedule. Also: a few specials like fluke dog and spicy fish stew. Should keep you up for a few hours.

WEST BRIDGE

Your One Shot at a West Bridge Brunch

You Require: Something that only comes once a year. Just because.
You’ll Receive: West Bridge’s version of brunch that only happens, yep, once. It’s got smoked lamb-neck pierogies and a full Irish breakfast on an English muffin. They’re also calling it “Drunch.” Do with that what you must.

TAJ BOSTON

Looks Like You’re Suiting Up Again

You Require: An opulent setting where you and your dining companion can brunch in all your finery without being recognized.
You’ll Receive: The Taj ballroom, set for a buffet with charcuterie, sushi and a prime rib carving station. So... better than dancing.
