A Steel-Walled, Beer-Stocked Arcade on Market

The best part about going to your neighborhood bar: the chance to run into old friends.

Mario, Luigi, Pac-Man, Frogger...

Gang’s all here at Brewcade, a magical place with every childhood arcade game you can
remember, loads of mostly local beer on tap and a ™ in its name for some reason, opening tomorrow.
(Here’s the menu, and here’s the slideshow.)

This is like how you remember arcades being. Except instead of purple carpet and neon lighting, you’ll
find a den of blackened steel, rusted-out walls and a patchwork-metal-topped bar stocked with plenty of beer
from California to Germany. So nothing like you remember, actually. Just go with it.

Come here with friends willing to throw down some bets on Big Buck Hunter. Or with a date who can
dominate in Ms. Pac-Man. The games are in the back, but whenever you need a break you’ll find
yourself at a high-top table with a wine slushy, a Coffee & Stout (it’s got Stumptown coffee and
Moylan’s Dry Irish Stout) or one of the 25 brews on tap.

And if you need to fuel up for your next round, there’s 4505 Meats chicharrones and Krave beef jerky at
the ready.

In matters of Frogger, high protein intake is critical.
