There’s a real Trappist/Mikkeller pedigree here, so you can stop with any “But are the 43 beers on tap, like, good beers?” and “But is the meat by the pound good?” kinds of questions.
It’s a huge space inside, with booths down one side, the Southern-style food line down the other and highbrow art like a periodic table for beer. Lots of room to get to know people over pitchers of Mikkeller Tenderloin Wit. That’ll all happen soon.
But first-timers should hit the food line immediately. Order one of five meats by the pound, and by the time you get down the line you’ll have all requisite hush puppies, Texas caviar and chocolate peanut pie. Then... take it all out back to the patio and sagely select a picnic table.
