The New Doi Moi’s Even Newer Bar

Doi Moi has a discreet new cocktail bar. To locate it, head downstairs, around a corner and through an unmarked door. What you’ll find down there: a surprisingly bright spot, with a few choice alcoves and tiny booths, a mural of birds and stones, and handwritten menus. Oh, and cocktails.

Georgetown: Now with 270 More Tequilas

Third Edition had a good run. But its Jäger shots have given way to a huge iteration of El Centro D.F. There are two bars, where you can sample bacon guacamole and 270 tequilas and mezcals. But for now, head to the back patio and the fire pit.

Saturday
A Brunch with 10 Sausages
SAUSAGE-CENTRIC

A Brunch with 10 Sausages

At the Capella hotel’s new brunch, you can grab rye cocktails and finish things off with an ice cream sundae bar. There’s also a sausage cart that comes around in between, with 10 sausages from Stachowski Market. You may want to get a room upstairs and sleep it off.

PARK PLACE

Not-So-Heavy-Metal Parking Lot

Your latest go-to music venue: this parking lot, off the new Union Kitchen in Northeast. Drop in for local and out-of-town bands, along with $5 beer and wine, and all kinds of food from the 50 food trucks and other businesses that operate here. Just remember where you parked.

Sunday
If It’s Game Day, It’s Donuts and Wings
TAILGATE OF THE TAPE

If It’s Game Day, It’s Donuts and Wings

Maybe you’re tailgating this weekend. Maybe you’re sitting on the couch. Either way, you could probably use Astro’s new game-day package of a dozen sriracha or spicy garlic wings and a dozen donuts, like crème brûlée, maple bacon and PB&J. Someone will find a use for them.
