Tørst’s New Secret Treasure

None
Your word of the day is Luksus.

Definition: a warmly wooded, mural-covered little tasting-menu restaurant tucked behind the Greenpoint beer Valhalla, Tørst. It’s taking reservations now for a July 16 opening. Here’s a little enlightenment on the subject for you.

You’ll want to act on that “taking reservations” part immediately, if not sooner.
There’re 26 seats here, and the menu’s offered just four nights a week.

But they may be hiding some emergency seating as well.
They’ve installed an incredibly well-hidden, eight-seat VIP/bottle-tastings/whatever-they-feel-like table down in their wood-paneled rare-beer fridge (early front-runner for dining environment of the year). Getting down there is... well, maybe if you’re really nice.

Now you see the menu, now you don’t.
It’ll change daily based on seasonal deliciousness patterns and the whims of the chef (who cut his teeth at Noma and Momofuku). To start, expect five courses that’ll include things like lamb, razor clams with bone marrow and a rhubarb-beet dessert.

Yes, there are beer pairings.
They’re an “option” for the dinner.

Much in the way a steering wheel is an “option” for a car.
